Mom: That's the "Bay Bridge" - creative name, I know. It's the bridge between the"east bay" and Francisco (SF). Last year, when I lived in Alameda (in the "east bay"), I had to drive that bridge into SF then on down to South San Francisco (a completely separate city) to get to work, a 45-90 minute commute. Now I just get to look at that bridge after my 15-20 minute commute via the subway.
