My Purifier Needs a Makeover

So, is it possible that the crackling, sparking, flash of light thing that my new air purifier is doing is just an indication that it doubles as a bug zapper? Or perhaps it has aspirations to be a strobe light? Cuz, it certainly can't be that this $500 over sized eye-sore is defective, right? And next time I buy what Consumer Reports says is the best model out there, I'm going to ask that they factor a queer eye vote in the stats. This thing is so ugly it makes the rest of my appliances weep in pity.

comment already

because there’s nothing that amuses me more than hearing your pathetic opinion

Ok, wait now... It is not that ugly.
I just sort of looks like a device that one would have on a intergalactic transport as seen from the 1950's Sci-Fi movie maker. I would think it would be a way to safely carry your pet into space in stasis. The institutional tan was a super nice touch. The popping and flashing would be great for party's but it would be better timed to some of those great hits as done by the Ray Conniff Singers.

If it could talk, it'd be screaming "CLEAN ME!"

The crackling only gets worse until the blades are cleaned (if it's the model i'm thinking of)

Oh, and don't put the blades back in until you're absolutely sure they are bone dry.

The damned thing is brand new and it's already needing a cleaning? It's ugly AND high maintenance. Sheesh.

I clean the blades on my once a week. It's amazing the amount of gunk it traps.

I'd say it was making up for lost time. That gray LA type haze that lay near the carpet on warm days, has cleared, perhaps it now lay all over the blades.
Makes sense to me.
Mike
