Shiny!

I just got back on the short flight from Anchorage. I sat right next to the main door on this small little plane, right next to the little lever that said "pull up to open door," my restless hands mere inches from that oh so delicious looking handle. Surely just a little tug wouldn't hurt anything...

Been mesmerized by that handle myself. I actually asked a flight attendant what would happen. She giggled and told me it wasn't possible to open, there's an emergency lock which kicks into place as soon as the plane moves.

Lynne, you sooo shouldn't have told me that. Now I feel an absolute necessity to pull on the handle. And with that dinky little Alaskan plane, who knows what safety features are still in operation...
