My work computer is fried (again). I spent my entire morning yesterday trying to get it working. This morning I've been tasked to find a place to drop the files we need, re-initialize the disk, reinstall the system, and then reinstall all the software. I'm not overly qualified to fix a Mac besides the fact that fixing computers isn't my job. Do I pitch a diva fit and refuse to play computer repairman or do I suck it up and spend all my time doing stressful, unproductive computer work?
comment already
because there’s nothing that amuses me more than hearing your pathetic opinion
diva fit.
claim you have no idea how to do it.

Yeah, but the owner knows how to do it and said he would help me when necessary... I actually got out of it for a bit because I hit a snag. The owner fixed the snag so I'm back in the midst. I'm trying to create another snag at the moment. Wish me luck.

Well, after spending the entire morning working on my computer (and doing a few design jobs on other computers in between) we've come to the realization that the system hard drive is completely fried. I'm so glad that I spent soooo much freakin' time trying to fix the thing. Veeeery productive. Grrrrrr

does that mean you get a new comp?
Valette | February 27, 2004 12:55PM
yeah, you need a new mac...

It sounds like I will get a new computer (yay!), though it also sounds like I'll be slumming with an old hard drive for awhile. Who knows, maybe the boss will decide to put me on the crappy self-serve Mac which is on it's way out. That'd be fun. Yep.
